This page will contain information about record shops in the London and the south east.
BLUEBIRD RECORDS, BROMLEY (GONE)
This used to be my local record shop until they closed down on the
28th of august 1999. they used to stock the best in upfront UK
underground garage. the best record shop in Bromley.
UPTOWN RECORDS,SOHO
Uptown records is a great place to get records. they stock house
and garage downstairs, while RnB and hiphop upstairs. Many
famous dj's have shopped their, like Matt Lamont(tuff jam) and
Richard Blackwood (Mtv)...www.uptownrecords.com
BLACKMARKET RECORDS, SOHO
Blackmarket records is also a great place to get records from, stocking
most genres like house & garage, DnB, jungle, they also have an extensive
selection of merchandise. It is also on the same street as uptown records,
less than a minute away... www.blackmarket.co.uk/
Now my new local record store, since Bluebird Records closed down.
I went there last weekend end, and i liked it...its a very good
record shop, they have 2 listening posts, and they stock the latest
in UK underground, because they are House & Garage specialists. i
rang up that morning before i went down to find out a few
things...and the geeza told me that there was nothin decent in...i
went down there anyway, and had a chat with the bloke behind the
counter, and then he pulled out all the 'not so decent' new
stuff...all fuckin 50 tracks of it....i only had £20...=(...but
its a good shop, constantly getting deliveries, all the latest
records, and they have friendly staff....so Dance Factory, Beckenham,
is now my local...woohooDANCE FACTORY,
BECKENHAM
